Eat Something Cute

Today is Sketch Challenge day at Splitcoaststampers.  I'm getting addicted to these challenges!!! :)

I used a stamp set that I've had for a couple of months, but have only used once before on a birthday card for my friend Deb.  This same friend brought me some pastel brads and shimmer dots last time she was over, and so I wanted to use them ... this is the card I came up with.  The colors remind me of cotton candy, summer and fun!!  This is definitely a "Debbie" card!  Hope you like.

I cut out the middle background paper from Baja Breeze and used scraps of Parisian Breeze and Urban Garden Designer series papers to make the three angled pieces and glued them on top.  I used the paper piercing tool to make holes and inserted two brads at each intersection of the angled papers.

I cut out the middle panel from Whisper White cardstock and stamped the birthday cakes and sentiment in Basic Black ink.  I then colored in the cakes with Stampin' Write markers.  I framed the main image in Regal Rose.
I cut out the larger Whisp
er White panel and randomly stamped flowers from the Sprinkles Stamp set in Regal Rose ink along the edges.

I mounted all the pieces as per the picture above, popping up the main panel with dimensionals.
