Yellow Gingham

Hi everyone.  I finally managed to make another Easter card ... and it actually went fairly smoothly - yah! :)  I had a wonderful day, spending time with my kids ... so I was in a really good mood when I went into the studio and I think that helped :)

Evan is off for an extra long weekend and so I asked if he would put up some shelving in my studio for me.  He is so helpful and the shelving was put up this morning - awesome!!.  Just need to get to the $1 store where I saw some adorable storage boxes that will fit perfectly.  I will post a picture once I have everything organized.

After Evan finished installing the shelves, we met up with Jeremy and the three of us headed out for a nice lunch.  The sun was shining and it was warm enough that we sat out on the patio at the restaurant to eat - so much fun!!

Back to the card.  My friend Debbie told me about these sweet digital images at Pink Petticoat and I couldn't resist getting them (it's a set of several different versions).  I watercolored this with my aqua painter and ink (chick) ... and also my blender pen and ink (bouquet).  I also added a strip of yellow gingham paper down the side which qualifies this card for today's SCS Ways To Use It Challenge (WT420 - use gingham). Love it ... and perfect for this card.  Hope you like.

Stamps:  Fluffy Little Chicks (Pink Petticoat)
Paper:  Watercolor, Perfect Plum (SU!); Yellow Gingham (Making Memories)
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Melon Mambo, Rose Red (SU!)
Accessories & tools:  Aqua Painter, blender pen, Lilac Twine (The Twinery)

Happy Easter wishes to you and your family. With the kids home, you will have a ball. Hide a few eggs. They are never to old to be silly! That chick is darling and I love the combination of paper and chick!

Happy Easter, Loll! I've really enjoyed looking at your latest posts on your blog and the uploads on your SCS gallery. And I'm so glad you had a wonderful day with your children - it means a lot doesn't it? Nothing better than lunch on the patio in my opinion. I'll be glad for some warm weather. Can't wait to see your studio!
