Watercoloured Fall Leaves with Distress Inks

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing another autumn card ... and a video tutorial on how I watercolored these fall leaves.

Honestly, I didn't think I'd be doing another video so soon after my first, but when I was making these, I thought it might be fun to share with you the easy way I found to watercolour these beautiful leaves from Stampin' Up!

There are so many watercoloring techniques available on-line through videos and crafter's blogs ... the hard part is finding which techniques worked for me.  I have had many failures when watercoloring, but have recently discovered a few different ways that make me happy. :)  Today I'm sharing a very simple way in which to watercolor these leaves, adding the ink colors on top of each other while the paper is wet, so they blend.  I hope you'll give it a try ... and I hope it works for you. :)

My video is on my You Tube Channel HERE ... and I've also embedded it below.

Thanks to all that take the time to watch --- so appreciated!! :)  Warning --- after filming three times, I decided that this version was the best of the lot :)  Still lots of flubs ... you can probably tell by my voice that I was getting tired.  The weird part is the number of times I say "fussy-cut" ...  lol!

Of course I love these lovely oak leaves and they are so beautiful against that patterned paper, then added to the crisp white of the card base. Thanks for sharing the tutorial, which I'm off to enjoy, as I'm very much water color challenged! Hugs

Your video is top-notch, Loll (given I've watched it four times already!), and the technique is so user-friendly (you've got me *nearly* reaching for my leaves and distress inks!!). Of course, the card...oh, your card...absolutely beautiful. Such a realistic capturing of the fall leaves! Thank you for sharing the 'how' behind your creativity!
