Happy Thoughts

Hi everyone.  A second card using the beautiful die from Penny Black.  This one is more my usual CAS style.  I used the same colours of Brushos as yesterday's card, but included lots of my beloved white space. :)  And I added a few dew drops made by my good friend, Hazel (My Card Attic).  Thanks Hazel!

My birthday is today. :)  And I want to thank all my wonderful friends for their well wishes and beautiful cards.  I appreciate all the love that was sent my way --- THANK YOU!

Yesterday the family gathered to celebrate a day early.  We had a delicious lunch brought in from one of our favourite restaurants.  I can't express how wonderful it was to have the whole family together.  It was really the best birthday EVER!

I'm sharing some pics from the party, courtesy of my wonderful son-in-law, Alex.

Me holding my new grandson, Parker

My mom holding Parker

Cooper ... isn't he the sweetest??

And, last, but not least, our new granddoggie Violeta

Thanks for stopping by!

I am certainly loving this blue-green phase you're currently in. The brusho-s gave this pretty leaf SUCH a lovely look. Big Happy Birthday, and so glad you had your loved ones all with you to celebrate. Thanks for sharing the pictures of the youngest & your Mom. Cooper is certainly growing up so fast, and Parker looks like he's a very contented little fella. Cute pup too! Bet Cooper and V. had a good romp. Enjoy your special day. Hugs & TFS

OMGoodness, yes, this is your style of card Loll and it is just beautiful! I so love the colors you used on the leaves this go around. Love the dew drops from Hazel too, got me some of the stuff to make some, but now I need to find a way to heat it. I guess I need a melting pot. lol Goodness, isn't Parker just the sweetest?!!! I love that look on Cooper's face, he looks like he is saying, "I didn't see no cookie and I didn't take said cookie. What cookie?!!" lol Too cute!!! And speaking of cute, Violeta is absolutely adorable! What a beautiful birthday gift to have everyone together! In this day and age it is hard to get everyone together at the same time. So I'm glad they were able to do just that for your birthday!! Happy Birthday my dear friend, your card is on the way. Yes, I'm always a dollar short and a day late....in this case it will be more than a day late. So sorry, but at least it will keep the celebration going for you. lol Big birthday hugs, Brenda

Like how you "feature" the brushos in the main image vs. a background. Striking card. The family pictures of Parker--and Violetta--are so precious! Glad you had a good family celebration for your birthday -- best gift ever.
