Snowflakes and Brushos

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing two cards that are very similar.  Different dry embossed backgrounds, but same techniques, stamps and products.

I will keep one for my Christmas card stash and donate the second one.

I used some dry embossed backgrounds given to me by my good friend, Susan.  I think I've had these for a couple of years.  I'm just a little slow at getting to things sometimes. :)  Anyways, I think they make a great background for my snowflake tags.  Lots of white space (which I love), along with some fun products and techniques ... Brushos over top of heat embossing.

Here's the second one ...

I still struggle with photographing anything that is heat embossed ... and silver seems to be the most difficult of all.  Probably being on the vellum banner adds even more challenges for my camera (and me). :)

I used snippets for the tags, snowflake die-cuts and vellum banners, so I'm heading over to play at the Snippets Playground.  Di is back after a fun-filled vacation where she met up with Darnell and several crafting friends.  I'm sure Parsnip is glad she is home. :)

Thanks for stopping by for a visit!

Love the soft blue of the brushos over the white reist, and it looks so pretty against the falling snow embossing on the white background piece! I also like the shape of the arched tag against the rectangle of the white background too. The silver looks just fine to me, both on the snowflake AND on the vellum. (must be your monitor!). TFS & Hugs

Pretty snowflakes that show off beautifully with the Brusho background! I don't think I've done that technique. Need to give it a try!

I love these beautiful tags on your card! That brusho color is just gorgeous and the added snowflake, so perfect. I believe that is the Kars embossing folder and I never did find one but it's still one of my favorites! Both cards are fabulous!

Simple, but yet so very pretty.
Your embossed sentiment on vellum is lovely. Looks so elegant
I have the hardest time using vellum with it 'curling' that I quit using it.

Love both of these cards Loll! I love the simplicity of them and the textures. So I'm assuming that brusho's wipe off heat embossing just like other inks. Very cool! Love those embossing folders you used too. I'm slow at getting to my NBUS too, have a boat load to get to. I love how you have used a tag on your card, I can't seem to make them look good enough on a card. But you have! Hugs, Brenda

Really fabulous cards Loll - I just love that you have such a light touch with Brushos! So clever to use the very classy tag shapes on top of the snow dots embossed layer too.
