Hi everyone. Today I'm sharing a different-for-me Christmas card. I used a pretty poinsettia stencil to create the background for my card. First, I dry embossed my card front with the stencil. I left it taped together while sponging all over with Festive Berries Distress ink and then sponging Fired Brick ink in the centers of each poinsettia to give the flowers some depth. I used a metallic silver pen to colour over the center stamens. To finish the card, I added a simple black Joy die-cut layered with foam for added dimension.
On a personal note ...
Just wanted to give a quick update on the health front. In my post from Sept. 16, I told my story about fighting breast cancer this year. Since then I met with an Oncologist and was sent for tests, and so was the tumour they removed.
I got the good news that I do not need chemotherapy. :) I'm so happy!! I will be having radiation treatments starting the later part of January 2017. I have the next three months free of tests and treatments so I'm going to enjoy the quiet time. :)
Thanks for stopping by!
