February Rudolph Days

Hi everyone.  First I want to apologize for being absent with commenting.  Every once in a while I get super busy and the next thing I know, I'm so far behind on my reader's list that there's no chance for me to catch up.  I regret missing all the wonderful cards posted over the past week by the talented people I follow ... I hope to keep up better in the future!

Today I'm playing along with Rudolph Days.  This monthly challenge runs from the 25th to the end of the month.  Maureen (scrappymo!) is the host and every challenge is Anything Goes Christmas.  It's a great way to build your Christmas card stash throughout the year.

I had a small scrap of paper towel transfer leftover so I used it for the background.  I used just the deers cut from a die (AliExpress), along with a tree die (Impression Obsession) and snow hill die (My Favorite Things).  The sentiment is stamped in Wilted Violet distress ink and I also sponged around the outside edge of the background with the same purple ink.  I do love these blues and purples together.  And the design from the quilted paper towel really shows well on this piece to add some interest and visual texture.

Here's a close-up ...

Come play along!

Stamps:  Snowman Sayings - retired (Amy R)
Paper:  Mixed Media paper (Strathmore 140 lb. 400 Series); White card base (Neenah 110 lb.)
Ink:  Wilted Violet Distress Ink (Tim Holtz
Accessories & Tools:  Paper towel, Reindeer die (AliExpress), Fir Tree die (Impression Obsession), Snowdrift die (MFT)

Beautiful card, Lol.

I love the inky background...especially the imprint of the paper towel. TO me it looks like the warp and weft of a canvas!

Your die and sentiment look great here.

Thanks for taking part in the February Rudolph Days Challenge.

Love your beautiful watercolored paper towel background with the texture and pretty colors. I have a piece of paper towel that I am still adding watercolors too for a future project because of you, my friend:-) Love your technique.

So fun the way you pieced together your die cut scene with 3 different die sets..a wonderful example of how versatile our dies can be with a little imagination.

TFS your beautiful Christmas card, Loll. Hugs...

Look at that wonderful texture in the background! The colors are beautiful and give the sense of it being cold. The colors also pop against the white of the trees and deer. Absolutely beautiful card. Darn that life sometimes gets in the way of our fun. Good thing all the crafters keep creating so we can hop back in! Hugs!

Sigh, I'm behind right now. When my notifications don't come in to my email box, I forget. Out of sight, out of mind with this old mind I'm afraid. So we all have this problem Loll so not worries I'm sure! I love this beautiful card! The texture you got from the towel is amazing, love the colors in this background and of course love the image dies. Such a peaceful and serene card! Hugs, Brenda

Love that background, Loll. The purple really makes the sky glow. No fret about the commenting. When I get behind I just peek, and then comment on one for all, or send to the trash. Otherwise it's too overwhelming.

I hate getting behind on comments but sometimes I can't make cards and comment both so something has to go. Then I try to catch up or just start from where I am at the time. I love how you use the paper towels. It gives so much texture and is such a different look. This is just gorgeous.

Gorgeous! This reminds me of the twilights in winter in the very north of Wisconsin. I can practically hear the snow falling! This is so soft and lovely, my friend. What a wonderful card! Bev

DEE-lighted to see you over at Rudy Day with this fab snowscene. What gorgeous texture with the background mop-up towel, as it's perfect behind the scene. Love the white elements, and such dimension...just pulls the eye right into the scene. Agree with Carol L. on all she said - before I could!!! LOL TFS & Hugs

Your card has taken on the amazing nature of the sunrise ... Such colors are only met in the winter at dawn. So rarely happens to me to see it, and I love so much this moment, when the world wakes up from a night out. I love this card, Loll.
Hugs,
BożenA
