Hi everyone. I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing at Rudolph Days Challenge this month. Thanks to Helen for asking me to join.

Today's card features a wonderful die of a Christmas Window. It has several pieces that you can use all together, or on their own. This is my first time using it, so I'm going to use all the pieces. :)
The card front and base is Soft Suede card stock, which I'm sure is long retired from SU!. I love the deep colour. It's a great contrast to the white window. I die-cut all the pieces from different colours of cardstock: White, Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Silver metallic; with the tree cut from mixed media paper and watercoloured using distress inks. I used a silver pen to add the "garland" on the tree. The sentiment is from Merry Up! (Penny Black). I sponged Mustard Seed ink behind the window and tree.

Great card and what a fab die set, I can see lots of uses for all the different elements! :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful peek through that window. The Christmas tree has a nice warm glow, while outside the window it is snowy and cold. The fir boughs under the window with the layer of snow really makes this a lovely winter card.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent Christmas window, Loll - I can see why you'd use all the pieces of that set. It really is a showstopper!! Congrats on guest designing!!
ReplyDeleteOh this is a magnificent card Loll. Love the scene.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - love the scene you've created through the window.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining me this month at the Rudolph Days Challenge as our Guest Designer.

Congrats on guesting, Loll! Your card is lovely. I like the pine branches decorating the fancy window!
ReplyDeleteStunning card Loll! A very cosy and cheerful scene:)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on Guest Designing for Rudolph Days, Lolly! Your card exudes warmth and Christmas cheer! The yellow background with that suede base just glows and I especially love the window box decoration with the greenery and ribbon. Thank you for linking again to NBUS and I'm delighted you used the I.D.E.A.S. Calendar! Love, Dolly
ReplyDeleteCognrats on the GD gig, you were made for it! Your card is beautiful, I love the sweet scene -- it reminds of being a child and looking at all the Christmas trees in the house windows on the way home from school.
