Hi everyone. Today's card uses my favourite Altenew stamp (Nature's Magic). Love this set of flowers and was going to use the matching stencils but ... they somehow got lost in our last move and I hadn't noticed until yesterday. So I watercoloured the flowers and leaves with distress inks, used the matching die to cut them out and popped them up in a wooden crate (Honey Bee) overtop of dry embossed leaves (Layered Leaves Folder - SU!). I finished by stamping the sentiment (Special Sentiments - Penny Black) onto a strip of white card stock, adhered over the bottom of the card.
Close-up ...

ReplyDeleteYou don't need a stencil with your talent for painting flowers with ink, Lolly! The color is fabulous and the whole design with the crate is so perfect for spring! My fingers can just 'feel' the amazing texture! Glad that I.D.E.A.S. inspired you! Love, Dolly
ReplyDeleteI agree, who needs stencils when you have the gift of coloring as you do. These flowers are beautifully colored and look so sweet packed in a crate. A lovely, lovely card, Loll!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Fantastic card, my dear Loll. I love the design; the flowers placed in the crate look wonderful. It's a really great idea when you can see the stems through the crate's slats. The embossed background complements the card beautifully. I also think the flowers are beautifully colored; as you can see, you don't need those templates at all :-) But I know how annoying it is to lose things during a move or renovation. I still haven't found a few items after my craft room renovation.
