Christmas Ornament

Hi everyone.  Sharing a quick and easy card using my stash of alcohol ink backgrounds.  I found this pretty background and diecut it with Ornament & Shadows dies (Gina Marie).  I used satin silver metallic paper (SU!) for the top layer.  Because the piece is quite small, you don't really get to see how pretty the red and silver alcohol inked paper is.

I cut an oval from my card front and added an embossed panel (Geometric Embossing Folder - Penny Black) in the background.  I added a silver cord to the ornament and glued it between the card base and popped up front card panel.  A simple setiment (Banner Sentiments - Penny Black) is stamped in red ink to finish this CAS Christmas card.

Sending this card to the following challenges:

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Banner Sentiments (Penny Black)
Paper:   White card stock (Neenah 110 lb.); Mixed Media (Strathmore 140 lb.); Silver Satin Metallic Paper (SU!); Yupo
Ink:  Candied Apple DOX Inks (Tim Holtz); Alcohol inks
Accessories:   Ornaments & Shadows dies - Gina Marie Designs, Geometric Embossing Folder (Penny Black), Silver Metallic cording, Oval die (Temu)

  13. That's a really pretty bauble Loll and even from the small portion of the alcohol inked piece that you can see it is beautiful, and a lovely design with the oval aperture and it hung inside and the EF background looks great too. x

  14. What a beautiful ornament this is using silver and your pretty ai background, Lolly! You could really whip up a bunch of them in different colors and metallics. I also love the oval and the embossing which made a great frame around the ornament! Perfect for I.D.E.A.S. embossing week! Love, Dolly

  15. Knowing your skills with alcohol inks I can just imagine how gorgeous that background is. The little bit I'm seeing makes your ornament look so softly shaded and pretty! Lovely details here while still being CAS. Wonderful!
