Have you ever tried the rubber eraser trick with stamps that don't stamp correctly? Use a clean eraser and go through the whole surface of the stamp (maybe some extra attention there where it stamps the worst). Then stamp and see if this has helped anything. :) This has "cured" some of my stamps that don't work well.
