Spring Tulips

Hi eveyrone.  The sun is shining and it's a warm, beautiful day.  I felt that I needed to post a spring card to celebrate the new season. :)

I was away for a week last month, staying at our favourite place on Galiano Island.  I always take some stamped images with me, along with my zigs.  Easy to pack and doesn't take up too much room.  This is one of the images I watercoloured while I was there.  This is from the new Penny Black release called Timeless.  Have to say that I have a lot of the stamps from this release.  So many gorgeous images.

Here's a close-up...
Went slightly off the edge with this to give it a little bit of a different look.  Used my waterbrush and zigs to watercolour and then stamped the sentiment once I was back home.

    So beautifully watercoloured! I like the way they go off the edge of the card. They're making me want to go out and buy a bunch of tulips for my kitchen table!

    Beautiful... Loll - I love Spring flowers my mum grows tulips and miss the spring flowers living in the tropics after I grew up with four seasons

    beautiful water colouring Loll, I struggle with zigs and tend to use them just to tough up areas. Your flowers have so much depth of colour :)

    SOOOOO pretty!! You've colored the tulips just beautifully my friend...it's almost like they have light shining through them! I've had this stamp for over a month now, played with it once and trashed it, and haven't tried again yet...need to get it out and try again!! Lovely, lovely card and makes me want to put a vase of these on my dining room table!! :0)

    Tulips are some of my favorite flowers. Mine are up, but not close to blooming just yet! Yours, however, are so pretty and full of Springtime! And that orange!!!!     Your tulips have brought spring to my room, Loll! Your watercoloring is simply stunning and I sense a relaxing/mellow feeling from it (maybe because you were watercoloring this at your favorite place). Love the layout of the flowers a little off the edge and the sentiment balancing the weight.
