CAS Christmas April Challenge

Hi everyone.  Today is the start of the CAS Christmas challenge.  This month the challenge is being hosted by Nance (Soul Stampin') and she has chosen this fun challenge.

I hope you'll check out the challenge blog to see the fun cards from our Designers and wonderful Guest Designer, JoAnn (Crafty Nana's Blog).  Then come play along!  Making Christmas card throughout the year saves a lot of stress of having to produce a lot in the months leading up to Christmas.  Come make your cards with us throughout the year.

For my card, I stamped the image in permanent black ink and watercoloured with distress inks.  I fussy-cut him out ... that was the most time consuming part of the card. :)  Popped him up on my card front that has some die-cut snow hills and a fun sentiment.

Here's a close-up ...

Stamps:  Eddy Elf (Whipper Snapper); Art Deco Celebrate Christmas (Poppy Stamps)
Paper:  Mixed Media paper (Strathmore 140 lb. 400 Series); White card base (Neenah 110 lb.)
Ink:  Zigs; Real Red (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  water brush, stitched snowhill dies (AliExpress)

  23. OMG, the minute I saw this card, I thought about how much concentration (and pressure not to cut off the small details) it would take to fussy-cut this whimsical & cute elf! You did a fabulous job with it, Loll! A lot of fun things are going on with the elf, so the white-on-white stitched snow hills are perfect to ground him.
