Penny Black - Loveliness

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing two cards using the new release from Penny Black's Springtime 2022, Loveliness (30-906) stamp set, as well as the Slimline Zig-Zag die (71-533).

The first card (above) uses the largest image from the set, a pretty wreath which I have watercoloured in bright, Spring colours using Zig markers.

I used the sentiment that comes with the set, adding it to my Misti along with the wreath image, stamping them all at once in black ink onto mixed media paper and clear heat embossing before watercolouring.  Because there is a lot of colour, I decided to leave the rest of the card blank, creating a CAS (clean and simple) design that showcases the beautiful flowers.

I'm sending this over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge where they are looking for bright colours.  This definitely fits the challenge. :)
I made a second card using the same stamp set (Loveliness) ...
This time I used partial images from the spray of flowers to include in the windows of the Slimline Zig-Zag die (51-733).  This die has three parts, a full size slimline card front zig-zag die; an embossing zigzag design that fits about 1/4" inside the zig-zag border; and finally, a set of three windows that die-cut as well as emboss more of the zig-zag design around the border of each window.  LOVE the embossed zig-zag design ... makes me smile! :)

I stamped the images in black, heat embossed in clear and then watercoloured using distress inks in my favourite colours (Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, and Mowed Lawn).  To finish I stamped the sentiment (Happy Snippets - 30-358) in black ink.
