Pink Blossom Birthday

Today's Color Challenge from SCS (CC377) is Soft Suede, Certainly Celery and Blushing Bride ... or similar colors (med brown, soft green, soft pink).  A great color combo!!  I whipped up this card in no time - thanks to a fun punch and die-cut ... and a little flower that I used for the center of the blossom that I picked up from my local Dollar Store.  Hope you like.

"Pink Blossom Birthday"

Stamp:  Happiest Birthday Wishes (SU!)
Paper:  Whisper White, Pink Pirouette, Pink Pirouette polka-dot DP, Certainly Celery polka-dot DP (SU!)
Ink:  Soft Suede (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  Big Shot, 5 Petal Flower punch, Little Leaves die-cut (Sizzix), bone folder, flower from $1 store, glue, and adhesives

Punched out two 5-Petal Flowers (one from plain Pink Pirouette, one from the polka-dot Pink Pirouette).  Used my bone folder to curl up the petal ends and then adhered the two layers together.  Add a flower from the $1 store for the middle of the flower.

Stamped the sentiment in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White card front.  Layered the rest of the pieces as per photo shown above, adding a same size bottom layer of Certainly Celery polka-dot and Pink Pirouette to the inside Whisper White panel.

Easy and fun card to make ... just love these soft colors together!

Loll, your card is so sweet. I love your punched and die cut flower and leaves, colors and DP. Cute flower in the center too. TFS

I uploaded a card for the FS/CAS challenges. Spent most of the day planting zinnia starts in pots. Only have nasturium and calendula volunteers to put in a few pots. We always have nasturiums, calendula's, zinnias and sunflower volunteers that are in our vegie garden, so I steel all, but the sunflowers for my annual pots :-)

So good to see the sun today. I hope to play the CC challenge later. The colors are easy and pretty.

TFS and listening to my garden rambles. Your chatty friend, Nancy L

Mmm, mmm. It's like laying on a freshly mown lawn with strawberry flavored lip gloss on your sun-freckled lips.

Love the layering of plain pink and pink polka dot for the flower. It is such a soft and peaceful card.
