Teacup Birthday

Hi everyone.  I made today's card for my MIL's birthday next Monday ... she's turning 91!!  Pretty amazing!  She loves flowers ... and china teacups, so I combined the two.  I used a designer paper from SU! for the "tablecloth"  .... I thought it looked like linen.

The teacup is from "The Tea Shoppe" (another SU! stamp set).  I stamped the teacup onto patterned paper in Versamark and then heat embossed in clear ... then cut it out.  You can't tell in the picture, but the teacup has a shiny, raised design that is really pretty.

I used my Hydrangea punch for the flowers, the large are Daffodil Delight and the small are Crushed Curry.  I used my Stampin' Write marker in Calypso Coral (same color as the teacup) to add lines on the flower petals and to tie the colors together.  The greenery is the same color as the tablecloth.

I think my MIL will love her card.  This card needs to be hand delivered (or mailed in a box) to avoid crushing the flowers.  Great thing is that I'll be able to hand-deliver this 3-D card as we'll be taking her out for an early birthday lunch tomorrow.

Here's a close-up:

Stamps:  The Tea Shoppe, Happiest Birthday wishes (SU!)
Paper:  White (C.C. Designs); Daffodil Delight, Pear Pizzazz; Gingham Garden DP, Everyday Enchantment DP - retired (SU!)
Ink:  Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzazz, Calypso Coral, Gumball Green, Versamark (SU!)
Accessories & Tools:  Big Shot, Lavish Branch die (Memory Box), Wreath Strip die (Cheery Lynn), Hydrangea Punch (Martha Stewart), white 1/2 pearls, sponges, clear embossing powder, heat tool, glue, adhesives, and dimensionals

I'm always so amazed with how you place flowers on your cards, and this is no exception! I love the soft colors and how you layered the flowers and branches to create dimension! I also love that you embossed the pp for your teacup and placed it on a tablecloth! I'm sure this card is GORGEOUS in person, and I'll bet your MIL will be really thrilled to receive it! Stunning card, Loll!!!

A BIG happy birthday to your MIL. This is a lovely card for her, and when I enlarged the picture, I could, indeed, see that lovely raised pattern. This is just so pretty, and I love that color - it just looks so regal & vintage. TFS
