Inka Gold Christmas

Hi everyone.  I'm playing along with Merry Monday Challenge #211 (Blue, Gold, White / Silver).  This is the last Merry Monday until the beginning of September as the Design Team is taking a much needed break for the summer.

I had a difficult time photographing this card.  It looks blurry, and the inka gold shimmer does not show one bit.  In real life the blue, platinum (pearl) and gold inka smooshed in the background are shimmery and look like marble.  The die-cut gold snowflake is recessed behind the popped up card front with the snowflake aperture. The sentiment is heat embossing in gold to match.

Easy card to make as I already that the inka gold background in my stash, ready to be made into a card.  Why don't you come and play along??!!  The challenge is open until noon (PDT) on Sunday, so there's still lots of time to join in the fun!

Stamps:  Mixed Christmas Sentiments (Happy Little Stampers)
Paper:  White card base (Neenah 110 lb. card stock); Mixed Media (Strathmore 140 lb.); gold foil (SU!)
Ink:  Inka gold in Steel blue, Platinum and Gold; Gold Delicata
Accessories & Tools:  water mister, stitched snowflake die (lil' inkers), gold embossing powder, heat tool

Challenges:
Merry Monday #211 - Blue, Gold, White / Silver

It's breath-taking with the hazy blue (looks like snow clouds to me)...and I love the way you've done the aperture. The gold gleams so well through the opening, and seems so intensified with the set-back. This is gorgeous, and the combination to create the blue Inca smooshing was a good trio of colors. TFS & Hugs

I feel your pain! Photographs of cards are not as easy and straightforward as they seem, are they? This is beautiful, Loll. I finally found out what inks gold looks like yesterday - saw it on a TV craft demo!!!

What a gorgeous background. It reminds me of a dreamy sky, so beautiful. The recessed snowflake- wonderful technique, so different. You say it's easy but coming up with these wonderful ideas isn't always so easy!
