Inlaid Die-cut

Hi everyone.  Bought this beautiful die a couple of months ago from Scrapbook Warehouse in Vancouver.  LOVE how pretty and delicate it looks when watercoloured.

I used the inlaid die-cutting technique for this card.  It was simple to do.  I didn't add all the background pieces back, but instead, just added the oval outline, leaves and flowers.  The rest of the die-cut pieces were left out so there is a clear view to the background behind the die-cut.  Then I popped it up over top of the lattice design stenciled background.

This is my reminder card for the CAS Mix Up June Challenge - Die-cuts.  Still lots of time left to come and join the fun.  We'd love to see you in the gallery. :)

My CAS Mix Up card above has die-cutting, stamping, watercolouring, inlaid die-cutting technique, and stenciling with sponging.

We have had amazing entries so far this month.  Click HERE to see our Pinterest Board for June's challenge --- lots of fabulous inspiration.

And there are more sample cards from our Design Team, Featured Designer and Guest Designer posted on the CAS Mix Up blog today.  Hope you have time to stop by and check them out.

Great card, well thought out and beautifully done. You're right, with a beautiful die, but your coloring matter, that is unique. Adding to the background pattern is an excellent move. Sequins add sparkle. Everything fits so perfectly. I love this card.

Wow again! This is so well done and designed from your stenciling to your imaginative way to use that inlay technique! While you say it was easy, that window and partial inlay would have taken me a LONG time to figure out! The colors- just so beautiful!

Thought I'd commented on this pretty card, but not seeing it, so will try again: Love the oval with all the soothing spring green. The out-of-the-box design treatment added even more texture than the softness of the embossing paste. Especially like the green framing in the oval too. The spark of the coral blooms on the ferns and stems..pretty bright color. It's lovely & some interesting inlay techniques too. TFS & Hugs
