Golden Inchie

Hi everyone.  Today's card is a reminder for the CAS Mix Up September Challenge - Inchies, which is being hosted by our wonderful Designer, Joanna.

The inchie is a piece of chipboard that has been "encrusted jeweled" with gold embossing powder, gold glitter, and a little gilding flakes added for good measure.  It is so sparkly and shiny in person.  I acetate smooshed a background using Evergreen Bough and Pine Needles distress inks as well as splattering gold acrylic paint.  I thought the Pine Needles was a good match to bring out the greeny-blue in the gilding flakes.  A simple sentiment was stamped and heat embossing in gold to match.

We're so thrilled to have Stephanie as our Guest Designer this month.  Come check out the reminder post to see Stephanie's fabulous inchies card, along with the cards from our amazing Designers.  There's still nine days left to play along before the challenge closes.

Hope to see you in the gallery!

LOVE your encrusted jeweled inchie and how you added a bit of green gilded flakes, Loll. A beautiful contrast to the gold EB powder and glitter. Love how you used the same colors to smoosh a beautiful artsy watercolored background for your inchie and added a gold embossed sentiment. Wow!!! TFS my friend. Hugs..Nancy

Wow, your inchie tile looks AMAZING, Loll! It literally looks like "jewel". The shine, the texture, and the colors are simply gorgeous. The smooshed green background and the gold spatters are perfect to bring out the beauty of the encrusted jeweled tile.
What a loyal companion Jessie is! Thanks for sharing the picture! I fall asleep when Matt keeps talking to me for a long time. (kidding, but not really...) ;-D

What a beautiful encrusted jewel tile, Loll! I love all that gold and the hint of green! The background is perfect for showing it off! I've never been able to get a good print from acetate. Maybe I need more practice.

Wow, this is stunning Loll, the gold is so rich and love the little bits of green which ties in beautifully with the greens on the acetate smooshed background. I have enlarged and looking closely I swear I can see that sweet little Jessie's head and right hand ear, with two indentations for the eyes and one of the green areas for her nose, and then the more encrusted piece further down looks like her body. Isn't it funny when you suddenly see something in a shape, perhaps you can see it too. x
