CAS Christmas November Challenge

Hi everyone.  Today is the start of the LAST CAS Christmas challenge for 2019.  The CAS teams will be taking a break for the month of December.

This month, Trina is our host and she has chosen ...
What says warm and cozy to you??  Is it being bundled up with a warm scarf when it's cold outside?  Maybe a hot chocolate or coffee by the fire?  Whatever makes you think of warm and cozy, that's what we'd like to see for this month's challenge.

The above card was an experiment.  I took a watercolouring image but only watercoloured the hat the nose.  The rest is paper pieced, which took a bit of work since this is a silhouette stamp (not outline).  I think Frosty's lovely rainbow plaid scarf looks super warm and cozy. :)

Close-up ...
We are thrilled to have Bobby (bits and pieces) as our Guest Designer this month.  Please check out the challenge blog to see the amazing "warm and cozy" cards by Bobby and our Designers.  Then come play along.

Hope to see you in the gallery!

You made this silhouette into a gorgeous snowman with his wonderful plaid paper pieced scarf, hat band and holly and berries as well as wonderful watercoloured hat and carrot nose and the suggestion of eyes too. A fun image Loll and so cute too. x

I don't know how you manage to paper piece a silhouette stamp, but you sure did a great job with it! I thought it was a printed image it is so perfect. I love this cute little guy's scarf, it is certainly warm and cozy for sure. This snowman is quite the cutie too! Hugs, Brenda

I made a batch of cards with this stamp two years ago. Now I am going to make more using your idea of a plaid scarf. Paper piecing! Why didn't I think of that? Thank you for sharing your wonderful snowman.

This turned out fabulous, Loll. I can see how much work that was since you had to fill in the details. What a wonderful job you did painting it. Although it was labor intense those often make the best cards and this is one of them.

The paper piecing worked amazingly well given it was a silhouette stamp! And I love the festive plaid paper you chose for the scarf and hat brim. What a fabulous card for the Warm and Cozy challenge!
