Let's Celetrate Summer

Hi everyone.  I bought this fun stamp set a little while ago and realized I had better use it before summer was over. :)  These stamps make for the most delicious looking summer drinks ... don't they look refreshing for a hot summer day??!!

This is a clean and simple design (my favourite) with just a little masking and some bright and fun watercolours.

Tip:  I saw a video by Fran (Stampdenous guru) where she uses a small 3" square post-it note pad.  She stamps her images on the pad, making sure the top is on the sticky portion.  Then she pulls off three post-it note sheets together, fussy-cuts the image and she now has a stack of the same masks to use many times.  She always uses the masks from the back of the stack, leaving the image on top where you can see it.  When she runs low, she can use the same image onto a new stack of post-it note sheets to fussy-cut some more.  So clever!

Close-up ...
Hope this brightens your day! :)

We could have used one of these refreshing drinks today...95 degrees on the cool Oregon coast...we are up the river, which is 10 miles east of Coos Bay, but it even got up to 86 degrees in Coos Bay/North Bend and NO breeze...Hot!! TFS your cool CAS card design and your post it note masking tip too, my friend. Love and Hugs..Nancy

You did a fantastic job of offline watercoloring these delicious looking drinks, Lolly! Man, could I use one of these now! It's stifling again. This morning we actually had thunder, lightening, and a few short bursts of heavy rain! Did someone pick up California and put it on the other side of the Rockies??! Thanks for the great tip about the post-it notes. Made me slap my forehead! Hugs, Dolly

Wow those drinks look good enought to sip right now Loll, even though it is late here. Not so hot as it has been but still very humid here. A few days ago it was up in the 80s which is really quite hot enough for me. That is a great tip about the post it notes. x

Love the graphic appeal to this card. That's what we've been drinking all summer long. The bright colours are definitely summer glory!

I'm 10 days behind and just having a quick look, but I had to stop here 'cause I just adore this refreshing fruity drink card! I'm a Stampendous fan all the way and now you make me want to go shopping. As if I don't have enough. This is completely fabulous, Loll!

Oh yes, this card took me to the Indian Ocean, where such drinks were served. Your watercolor looks stunning, perfectly reflects the color and blended colors of all those sweet drinks that bring you cool on hot days. Your advice is very valuable, thank you for sharing it with us.
