You're so Thoughtful

Hi everyone.  I'm back with a second card using one of the images from the Refreshing Stamp set (30-695).  I love this pretty vase of roses ...
The image was stamped with archival (permanent) black ink over top of a paper towel transfer background.  This background is from a soft blue ink mop-up towel from a previous project.

I heat set the image before watercolouring with distress inks.  When finished, I stamped a black sentiment to finish the card from the Family Sentiments Stamp set (30-555).

Close-up ...
Thanks for stopping by!

You have got to love a vase of flowers, so simple and yet wonderful. I have a pile of ink encrusted paper towels waiting for me to use the transfer technique, must get round to it soon! You have managed to make such an interesting background with yours xx

Such pretty flowers Loll and such an elegant look, and love the soft transfer of colour with the texture of the paper towel left behind too, and also the white gel pen stamens which stand out so beautifully. A wonderful card! x

This is a lovely vase of pretty flowers for someone who is so thoughtful. I love that sentiment. I have two paper towels waiting in the wings (well actually sitting on my Wii platform) to be used on the right card. You are so inspiring.

What a lovely vase of roses, Loll! I love the soft colors. I was surprised to find out the pale pink was Aged Mahogany. The paper towel transfer is so subtle and the colors and the visual texture are just perfect for the vase.

I recognized your paper towel background right away. Subtle and so very cool! Such a pretty bouquet and the color is divine. Lovely card, Loll! I've been saying I need more new flower stamps, so I ordered some (different site) and now my order is stuck there with a non-functioning "place order" button, sheesh.
