Cosmos

Hi everyone.  I have another 6" square card to share today.  I bought several large flower stamps recently and am having so much fun with them!  This one is called Cosmos Background (Simon Says Stamp).  I stamped in black ink, heat embossed in clear, and watercoloured with distress inks: Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Mustard Seed, and Peeled Paint.

The sentiment was a bit of a challenge.  Nothing showed up on this busy background.  Thankfully I tried adding a vellum banner and it was enough to show the black die-cut sentiment (Sending Smiles  - Simon Says Stamp) - YAY!  It also lets you see the design through the vellum - bonus.

Close-up ...

I'm sending this card to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - Heat Embossing.  The cosmos are clear heat embossed.

Also sending to NBUS Challenge #29 - believe it's the first time this stamp has been inked up.  Definitely the sentiment die is new. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

This is such a beautiful card, Loll! I love the colors. The black embossing gives the card a dramatic look and the colors of the watercolor shades beautifully. Sentiment on parchment is the perfect idea to add lightness to the card.

What a gorgeous floral stamp Loll which really stands out stamped in black and clear heat embossed, and so bright and beautiful using the pink and purple with the yellow flower centres, and the large die cut sentiment on vellum is just perfect. x

Loving this card and those beautiful blooms Loll! The colors of the blooms are so pretty, I can see why you are having fun with all these bloom stamps! The vellum was perfect for this bold sentiment on the busy background of the flowers, love that one can still see the blooms through the vellum, but the sentiment is nice and bold to stand out from those blooms. Hugs, Brenda

Beautiful watercoloring and a great stamp. It required a big sentiment so the flowers don't take over and you nailed it.
