Guest Designer for Just Us Girls - Challenge #600

Hi everyone.  I'm so excited to be Guest Designing at Just Us Girls for the month of August.  Thanks to the team inviting me and special shoutout to Vicki for providing all the details!

Prizes!!  Check out the challenge blog!

I started with a new-to-me stencil, Painted Flowers Wreath (Simon Says Stamp).  It has six flowers and six large leaves. :)  I sponged on colour and then removed stencil and lightly sponged a soft brown ink over top of the wreath, leaving the rest of the card white.  In the middle of the wreath, I stamped Sending Hugs (Impression Obsession) in black ink, heat embossed in clear.  I finished with adding just a few dots of white from my Posca pen.

The inside has stenciling off the edge with more soft brown sponging overtop.  Finished the card with a sentiment on the inside, Simply Sentiments (Lawn Fawn).

Inside view ...

I hope you'll come join us for this very fun challenge.  Check out the challenge blog to see the amazing cards from the talented Design Team and see what's available for prizes!

What 6 things will you add to your card?? :)  See you in the gallery!

Stamps:  Simply Sentiment (Lawn Fawn)
Paper:   Mixed Media (Strathmore 140 lb.); White card base (Neenah 110 lb.)
Ink:   Distress Inks:  Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Antique Linen (Tim Holtz); Black (Memento)
Accessories:   Painted Flowers Wreath Stencil (Simon Says Stamp), blending brushes, painters tape for masking, water mister, clear embossing powder (Ranger), heat tool

Congratulations for being the Guest Designer for September over at Just Us Girls Loll. I cannot really believe that we are now getting into Autumn especially as the summer over here in the UK has been rather up and down. This is a gorgeous wreath design using this beautiful stencil and it is perfect for the six of anything theme. The inside looks just as wonderful as the outside too. x

Oh, how pretty! Six of anything, hmmm... That could be a challenge, but you and the team have some perfect examples. This is quite a fun stencil in pretty colors and soft sponging. The white pen highlights add life to it. Love the IO sentiment. I'm kind of an IO fan.

This is why I'm so glad you're designing with us, Loll. Your stenciling is fantastic. What a light hand you have for adding that soft brown. I love that you decorated the inside too. I must remember to do that now and then.

Congrats on your DG gig for the month of August Loll, glad they didn't let you get away! This is a cool stencil, love all the flowers, berries and leaves. The brown adds the "hint" of a grapevine wreath to the imagination. Love the colors you chose and love the partial wreath on the inside. Hugs, Brenda
