Reminder card for PBSC

Hi everyone.  Today I have a reminder card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for May.  I'm thrilled to be Guest Designing this month for this Anything Penny Black Goes with an Optional Twist of Nature.

I'm so sorry this is 5 days late!  I have not been well and haven't even managed to make it onto my computer until today.

For the card above I used the Flutterby (Penny Black) image, stamping it twice to fill my card panel, stamping in black ink and heat embossing with clear powder.  I used to shades of yellow distress inks (Mustard Seed, Wild Honey) to watercolour the lovely tulips, along with Mowed Lawn distress ink for the leaves.  I finished by adding a soft sponging of green around the edges and a sweet little sentiment (Happy Snippets - Penny Black) stamped in black and heat embossed.  I did use a fine black sharpie to fill in the stamens before mounting the panel onto foam and adding it to my card base.

Close-up ...
I added the same corner stamping of tulips to the inside of my card as well. :)

I hope you'll check out the amazing cards by the Design Team and then come play along.  Use your Penny Black stamps and/or dies to create any style of card, and then add it to the gallery!

I'm sending this card over to the ? challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

"Smile" is a perfect sentiment for that card as those gorgeous sunny yellow colours definitely made me smile. Your shading on the tulips is beautiful and the soft green sponging sets it off so well.

This card is full of spring, Loll. I love its colors, full of joy and sunshine. Being late is not important, the most important thing is that you shared this card with us. I hope you are feeling great and after that indisposition there is not even a dream left.
