Jingle Friends

Hi everyone.  I'm playing along with Christmas Craft Creations July Challenge  - Patterned Paper.

I have lots of Christmas papers in my stash, but don't use them often enough.  Today I used a piece I've had for at least a year.  The snowflakes are printed onto a brown background.  I thought it would make a good backdrop for my Santa with Rudolph (Jingle Friends from Penny Black).   :)

Santa and Rudolph are stamped in black ink and heat embossed with clear before watercolouring with DOX inks.  I tore a piece of white card stock and used it for the snow for them to stand on, with the patterned paper in the background.  The sentiment (Festive Snippets from Penny Black) is stamped in Candied Apple DOX inks.

This was a fun card to make! :)

Aww, sweet! I love the paper and it's great when you have a darling stamp like this that works so well with it. I've never tried watercoloring with DOX inks. I'm inspired!

Such a cute PB image with Santa and I love Rudolph's shiny red nose and pretty spotted red and green scarf. The snowflake paper makes a great backdrop together with the torn white paper snow slope, and the lovely bright red sentiment finishes it perfectly too. A beautiful card Loll. x

This is a sweet card and I do like that snowflake paper. I love Santa getting Rudolph ready to go on this snowy night. That is a pretty font on the sentiment.
