August CAS Mix Up Reminder - Emboss Resist

Hi everyone.  We are half way through the month, so time for a reminder for our current challenge - Emboss Resist, hosted by the lovely and talented Nancy.

Today I'm sharing an emboss resist card using a background stamp which is white embossed and smooshed with Magical powders (Lindy's).  I stamped the Plant Background (The Stampin' Place - retired) in white pigment ink, then sprinkled with white embossing powder and heat set.  I sprinkled three colours of Lindy's Magicals onto my work mat and smooshed the embossed card front through the wet colours.  I let it dry and then lightly wiped with a damp paper towel to remove any ink that was sitting on top of the white embossing.

I ended up making two cards with this one piece and I'll include both in this post, although they are pretty much the same.  I cut the panels down and framed each card using rectangle die-cuts (retired).  The sentiments are both from Endless Birthday Wishes (SU! - long retired), stamped a couple of times with Salty Ocean distress ink.  Simple and CAS cards with Emboss Resist. :)

Love your stamped and heat embossed white plants and how you added the beautiful Magicals smooshed background and wiped off the Magicals from your plants. Such a fun and easy Emboss Resist Technique, Lolly. I can just imagine all the beautiful shine from your Magicals and heat embossed plants:-) So many gorgeous EB Resist cards from our very talented DT and more in our gallery from our DT and followers. EB Resist has been one of my very favorite techniques for years:-) Leslie (Running with Scissors) and I learned this technique years ago together and still Love it!!! Love and Hugs..Nancy

Love the greens that resulted from the magicals Loll, there's not much of it around here at the moment as we are officially in a drought!

What a pretty stamp and perfect for this technique, Lolly! Love the wonderful watercolors that make the white embossing stand out beautifully! Two awesome cards, my friend!

This is certainly a beautiful background stamp. I may only be able to see a bit of it, but I can tell it's gorgeous. I love anything leafy. The colors are some of my favorites, and the blue sentiments look great with the leafy panels.

Both of these cards are so beautiful, Loll! The colors of the Magical powders, and the smooshed effect look awesome with the white heat-embossed plants! The shimmer of Magicals and the shine of heat-embossing must be prettier in real life. Changing the orientation of the rectangular window made great twofers!

Glad I am not the only one who uses their old stamps :) These are beautiful Loll - love how the magicals have played nicely against the resist, and the sentiment is 'just right' both is colour and style for the cards

I love the zesty greens of the Lindys Magical powders Loll, and the white embossing shows up excellently and the pretty white embossed leaves come through beautifully. Both the rectangular and the square apertures work well, and the bright blue sentiment on each looks great. x
