Penny Black - Scarlet

Hi everyone.  This image (Scarlet 40-861) is from the Penny Black Christmas release.  I just love how it fills the page. :)  I stamped the image and heat embossed with Liquid Platinum embossing powder (Ranger).  I then watercoloured the pine sprigs, leaves, poinsettia and berries using distress inks (Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany).
To finish, I added a sentiment from the Christmas Sentiments set (30-504), heat embossed in Liquid Platinum.  I diluted white gouache paint and splattered over top for falling snow.

What a beautiful image and you have done it justice Loll, your card is gorgeous! I love the embossed platinum and the colors you chose to paint your berries, poinsettia and leaves. The white splatters does indeed look like snow on the poinsettia and leaves. Love that! Hugs, Brenda

This is so beautiful, Loll! Your watercoloring is just fantastic, and the shine and the color of heat-embossing add elegance to the image. The falling snow creates a serene winter scene for the poinsettia, berries, and pine sprigs!
