Butterfly Birthday

Hi everyone.  Today's card is for the  Double D Challenge - Things That Fly challenge.  I used the Live Life Now stamp (Visible Image).  Love this image!

Here's the mood board for the challenge:

To make my card, I squirted a few drops of three colours of alcohol inks (Wild Plum, Sunbright Yellow, Tangerine) onto a piece of Photo Paper.  I added blending solution to get the inks to flow.  I then used an Air Blower (or Puffer as I call it) to move the inks around.  Once dry, I stamped the main image and sentiment (Gratitude - Penny Black) with black ink and heat embossed in clear.

Close-up ...

Oh Loll, this is just stunning. I love everything about it. I have discovered that glossy photo paper is good for a lot of things and it takes foiling really well xx

What a perfect background for your butterfly image. I think your background could be fantastic on a Halloween card too!
Right now I am addicted to Art Impression stamps and water painting them with Tombow markers. The results make me feel as if I am really talented!!
My next journey will be to use alcohol inks -- Love your card Loll!!

When I looked at this card, bright flames seemed to spring from underneath. This yellow color looks really amazing among the other colors. The butterfly silhouette is made for this background.
