Please check out the details for Layered Scene Cards and link to videos on the blog, along with more card samples from Christine & Pat.
These cards take a while to design and make, but they are so worth it as you end up with a unique and beautiful card.
I have been totally in awe of Kittie Carcciolo's creations for many years. She is a master at making layered scenes and I'm sure you will be inspired when you check out the Group of Cardmaker's blog for links to her blog posts.

I'm going to write a fairly brief description of each of my cards. If you have any questions, please feel free to send me an email using the form located on the sidebar of my blog. :)
The first card (above) is a basic step card. For measurements, please check out the link to the page on the Group of Cardmakers post this month.
I used heave white card stock for my base (110 lb.), adding a larger panel (5 1/2" x 4") at the back of light blue "sky" with lattice. The lattice is filled with leaves and hollyhocks. On the next step of the card I added a piece of green card stock and then placed bright and cheerful Daisies in front. The flowers and leaves are all sponged with distress inks (colours listed below). The lower step has the sentiment "Happy Birthday in blue to tie it to the background of the card. :)
Here are some close-ups of the card ...
You can see the "steps" of the card in this photo
This is a close-up of the card when it is closed to go into the envelope.
Sending the above card to the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge - Mood Board #37.

Next card is a Layered Card using a regular card base. I made the card slightly smaller (5 1/4" x 4") than an A2 card. Even if there is more "bulk", it fits inside a regular A2 envelope. :)
Layered Christmas cards are so fun to make. I added layers of snow, popped up with foam. And then added my sweet little houses, lamp posts, and trees from the Lawn Fawn Winter Village stamp set. The green, red, and white colours just add to the Christmassy-look. :) For the final touch, I added some Clear Wink of Stella to the trees, roofs, and lamps.
Sending this card to Rudolph Days January Challenge.

Lastly I'm sharing a FauxTunnel Card. This is inspired by the talented Caroline Paton. I saw her card and couldn't wait to try making one. So much fun!!! You can add foam or pop-dots inbetween the layers of apertures, or you can adhere them flush. I'm pleased with my happy birds and tree die that are loosely watercoloured. I popped up the layers on foam, so the card is quite thick. Reduced the size to 5 1/4" x 4" and it fits nicely inside an A2 envelope.
Thanks for stopping by!

Great cards, Loll. My favorite is the one with the houses.
How to make an earring card and stay true to the CAS style... the answer can certainly be found in this post. Three lovely cards. My favorite is the third card, the tunnel card. I love your cheerful birds and the way the horizon narrows. I once attempted a tunnel card, but compared to your card, my attempts are quite feeble. All in all, these are three wonderful cards!
hugs,
BozenA xx
Three fantastic cards Loll, and what a wonderful profusion of flowers on the first and I love the trellis on the background and the front step with the sentiment. The winter houses and trees look great tucked under and placed over the stitched snow slopes and so pretty in red and green with the added street lamps and lit up windows, and lastly the fun birds which look terrific placed on the background tree with some branches and a couple of the birds tucked into the layers and a fun coordinating sentiment to finish...all brilliant! x
All so cute!! I especially like all the flowers.
The flower card is right up my alley, Loll. I love it and have never made a fun fold like that. The second card is more what I've done and I've always wanted to try a tunnel card. So much wonderful inspiration and beautifully made cards, my friend.
Wonderful examples of all the different layered cards Loll, I think my favourite is the Hollyhocks 🤩
Really adorable! All three are fantastic, Loll
Your layered cards are beautiful. Anything with houses on is a winner for me at the moment. I love those cute little birds on the tree in your tunnel card, and the floral design is just gorgeous! Makes me think of Spring .......can't wait for it to arrive! xx
These little birds are so fun, Lolly! They certainly bring a smile! The layered village makes a lovely Christmas card and your step garden is beautiful!
Three beautiful and clever cards Loll:) I have never made a layered card like this, but you have inspired me to try - Thank you! Xx
These bright and happy creations are just what I needed with all of this snow and cold! These are just wonderful, Loll. Your second card looks like our neighborhood with our 14" of snow!
Wow, wow, wow - what fabulous scenes in all those different card formats, Loll - love them all but especially the goofy birds in the window!!
Three fabulous cards, Loll. You did a fabulous job on each of the techniques - so great that you demonstrated the three different ones. The flower garden is just beautiful and the winter village is so cheerful and happy. The birds in the trees are so cute!
Three fabulous cards Loll, can't wait until my borders look as bright and cheerful as your first card! A loveley wintery scene and those colourful birds made me smile! :)
WOW, WOW and WOW, what amazing and creative cards, beautiful mix of colours on each too. Love them all. x
Your trio of layered scene cards are all FABULOUS Loll! I too have enjoyed Kittie's cards over the years and your garden step card totally reminds me of her work! Your garden of daisies and hollyhocks are absolutely delightful! Your Christmas card is so sweet and your tunnel card is awesome...I just love the big eyes on all the birdies! What a fun and creative post Loll...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)
Wow, three fabulous layered cads Loll. A lot of work went into each one. Love them all, but my favorite has to be the one with all the layers of flowers. Thanks for sharing all of these beauties.
Well, thud! I fell off my chair! Each one of these looks ... eek, none of my usual adjectives does them justice! They are so cool! And I'm so impressed because I went to the GoC website and see that these designs involve architecture and mathematics and it's all way over my head! Creating them must have given you a great feeling of satisfaction, Lolly! Hugs, Dolly
Love your holiday greetings card. Thanks for joining Rudolph Days challenge this month. GDT x
What a wonderful collection of dimensional cards. I particularly like the first stepper card. I have seen lots of fancy fold cards recently, but still can't bring myself to have a go - too lazy I think! You might just have inspired me though. I will have to see how the time goes this next week xx
Oh, my gosh, these are all so cute! I do make a lot of scene cards. A friend sent several blank step card bases which she'd made for me to use and I still have some left. I'll have to put them on the to-do list. I love your pretty flower garden in the first, and your delightful snow scene in the second. Your tunnel card is very fun! Lots of dimension there and I just love those birds!
All so cute, love the steps card!! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for leaving me such lovely comment on my blog.
Such fabulous cards, Loll! They are all inspiring but I'm remembering how much I loved making layered scene step cards - I will have to do that again soon. The tunnel card is new to me - looks kinda fun with those cute birds. SO much to learn from you and your talented friends. Thanks for taking the extra time needed to teach the techniques. PS I love the Christmas scene best.
This Floral Stepper card is beyond beautiful! Thanks for joining in and sharing at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge!

I am blown away by these designs. The hollyhocks remind me of the ones we had in our yard as a kid. Those and peony bushes were so colorful. The houses made a wonderful neighborhood card and the tunnel is awesome. Great job of describing them too.
Love your Christmas layered scene - so cute!
Thanks for joining me at the Rudolph Days Challenge.
