Hi everyone. Today's card is for the Mother of a friend of mine. He asked that I make a special card for his Mom on Mother's day. She loves daffodils, and her son gave me a wonderful sentiment to go inside as well. :)
I started by partially stenciling the background. I used a soft green, which compliments the pretty daffodils. These flowers are watercoloured with distress inks and then I added a simple sentiment on the front with more inside.

Gorgeous, I love daffodils and this shows them off so beautifully. Love the stencilling too. x
I love daffodils too. This is such a beautiful card. The daffodils look great against the soft stencilling on part of the background.
Any son that requests a specially made card and rights the sentiment is A++ to me!
Such a beautiful card, Loll, that completely fits the bill!

Your card is lovely, and your friend will be thankful! The stenciling really does complement the flowers and makes a perfect landing spot for the sentiment. Beautiful painting
I love your cards, my dear Loll, when you use stenciling in the background. I adopted this technique from you because I think it's a wonderful way to enhance a card. Your daffodils are gorgeous, very spring-like, like little suns. The wonderful coloring makes the card so joyful.
hugs,
