Another Snowman card ...

Hi everyone.  I'm back with another Christmas card for CAS Christmas July Challenge - Snowman, hosted by Linda.  Such a fun challenge!! :)

This time I'm using the no-line watercolouring technique.  I stamped the image in soft gray onto cold press watercolour paper.  I used distress re-inkers to watercolour.  It's basically painting an image free-hand with a little help from the stamp. :)

I kept it CAS by adding a simple sentiment and a few splatters of falling snow.  That was all that was needed.

Close-up ...
Sending this card to the following challenges:
SCS CCC26JUL - Fan Club Christmas Challenge for July

I hope you'll come play along.  It's always great to build your stash of Christmas cards throughout the year so when the crunch is on, you have them all ready to write and mail. :)

Thanks for stopping by!

This is a great snowman stamp and perfect for no-line coloring which you did so well, Loll. The snow splatters are so controlled - a look I find difficult.

This is so well done, Lolly! Your painting, even with the help of the soft gray outline, is absolutely controlled and perfect! I love that you left it to be the star by only adding the nestled sediment and snowdrops! Hugs, Dolly

Utterly fabulous, Loll! I love the idea of coloring a solid image stamp like this. I've done it with Copics, but never with watercolors. How awesome! This is absolutely the perfect stamp for it, too. Your expert results are beyond amazing. ps: Just finished my snowmen today, so will see you there.

I have yet to try this technique for some reason - I've seen peoples cards and thought I need to try this - but it has never happened! Your snowman is beautiful Loll! It seems to be a perfect stamp for the technique - and wonderfully done! I'll have to take a re-look at my stamps! Julia xx

I absolutely love this PB stamp. The coloring technique you used is practically watercolor, and I'm so impressed with the final result. This snowman looks stunning. The perfect card for a CAS Christmas Card challenge.

Just looking at your snowman makes me happy, Loll! I'm always impressed with your coloring, and this no-line watercoloring is another example. Highlights and shades are painted so delicately. The simple sentiment and the falling snow make this one-layer card a CAS beauty.
