Hi everyone. Today's card uses a NBUS (never-before-used-schtuff) stamp and die set (Present - Penny Black). I bought this a while ago, but this is the first time using it.
I stamped the Present image in black pigment ink and clear heat embossed to set the colour. I spent time masking the outside edges and the ribbon and bow and then stamped a poinsettia image (Holiday Bouquet - Avery Elle) off the edge to add a bit of design to the present. The masks were removed and then the poinsettia image was watercoloured using distress re-inkers. I used silver delicata reinker to watercolour the bow and ribbon.
To finish, a tiny tag was added with a simple sentiment.

What a great idea to stamp the poinsettia onto the present. It was definitely worth the hassle of the masking. I love the look and that wonderful deep red. The little tag is very cute too. My reading list doesn't seem to be working at the moment so I was pleased to get your new post email xx
What a fantastic idea to decorate the package with the poinsettia stamp, Loll. The masking may have taken a while but it was well worth it for the beautiful gift you created.
What a wonderful present, I LOVE this, Loll! Great masking
The poinsettias make a beautiful present, Lolly! Beautifully colored too and I love how you embraced the red! So elegant!
So pretty, Loll! Love the sparkly bow!
You created a unique gift by decorating it with beautiful flowers. Masking can be time-consuming, but the final result is worth it. An amazing Christmas card, my dear Loll.

This is so eyecatching Loll. Love the poinsettia addition really makes it pop.
Oh, my, this is so pretty! I thought at first the poinsettia was part of the PB stamp, but then I read that it's all YOU being so creative! The results are gorgeous! Love the red background and the amazing silver sparkle on the bow and ribbon. Wow!
I appreciate the time and effort you put into masking those frames, Loll, and it surely did pay off! SO pretty!

This is beautiful Loll and what a great idea to add the poinsettia to the present and in that wonderful rich red to match the card base, and the ribbon painted silver, and the added little tag with the baker's twine bow finishes it brilliantly. x
What a lot of work to mask all the ribbon! But so worth it as that is a great image of a poinsettia and it works perfectly as part of the present. Wonderful colouring!
This is ingenious, Lolly! You did a meticulous job of masking and painting the beautiful poinsettias and the metallic silver ribbon! And the tiny tag of joy is the perfect punctuation! Thank you for linking again to NBUS and I.D.E.A.S.❤️ Hugs, Dolly
