Hi everyone. One more card for CAS Mix Up Challenge - Sunflower.
I LOVE this time of year. And I do love sunflower images and this is a beauty. It's a lovely image from Power Poppy (In Praise of Sunflowers).
I stamped the image in Toffee Crunch Momento ink (light brown permanent). I then watercoloured using distress inks (mustard seed, wild honey, shabby shutters, peeled paint, gathered twigs, ground espresso). I wanted to add a strip of patterned paper at the bottom and started looking for olive green paper, but came across this very old patterned paper from SU! in shades of brown. :)
To finish, I stamped the two-part sentiment (from In Praise of Sunflowers stamp set) in more ground espresso ink. :)

It's beginning to look like more Design Team creations in the gallery than others. This one is a beauty, Loll, and I think that patterned paper was a great choice.
This is a beautiful sunflower. What a fabulous collection you have brought us this month. I love how you have coloured this one and you are right about that paper. It works brilliantly xx
WOW!!! Your sunflower is breathtaking! It’s fantastic—and even though I don’t usually like the color brown, it looks stunning on this card and pairs perfectly with the radiant sunflower. I saw how many colors you used to color the image, and it really shows! The image simply comes to life thanks to all those color nuances. This is really a big WOW!!!
hugs,

I love this time of year too and I love your pretty sunflower!
Another beautiful sunflower creation, Loll.

Absolutely gorgeous, Loll. Love your colouring of the sunflower. The stamping in the toffee is the perfect colouring.

You can never have too many sunflowers and this is one of my favorites! Your Distress watercoloring always looks so good. I love the brown checked DP, too, for grounding. As if the flower is growing out of the dirt. Hello Sunshine to you!
Oh what a beauty! I love this gorgeous card.
Thanks for playing along with us at We Love Stamping.

Both your reminder sunflowers are beautiful, Lolly! They really do represent sunshine and a person would have to be stone cold dead not to feel warm and uplifted when looking at your designs! Love, Dolly
