Hi everyone. Time for the reminder post for CAS Watercolour. There's just over one week left to play along before the challenge closes on Aug. 24th at midnight PDST.
Our host this month is Marcia and she has us creating colourful butterflies ... the gallery is full of amazing cards! And we are thrilled to have Amy as our Guest Designer this month!
I started by stamping my butterfly with Versamark and heat embossing with Princess Gold embossing powder. It has more of a yellowy-gold colour, which I love.
The butterfly was watercoloured with distress inks in light orange, dark orange, and pink (my favourite colours). I wanted to add wink of stella but both my pens were dry. I sprayed just a little glimmer mist onto my palette and used a brush to add over the butterfly. Worked great.
The butterfly was fussy-cut and popped up on the card base. A gold embossed sentment on black banner was added over top to finish the card.
Here's a close-up ... you can really see the shine of the embossing powder and a bit of the shimmer on the watercoloured bits. :)
Please check out the reminder post on the challenge blog to see the beautiful butterfly cards from our Designers, and wonderful Guest Designer, Amy.
Then come play along! Hope to see you in the gallery!
