CAS Christmas November Challenge

Hi everyone.  Today is the start of the CAS Christmas November challenge.  This month is being hosted by mega talented Christine (It's a Card Day's Night).

This year I have bought a few of the Wild Rose Studio images.  They are so adorable and very fun to watercolour.  This Santa and Reindeer is no exception.  I stamped in waterproof black ink onto Bristol paper and watercoloured with my zigs.

Really happy with how it turned out.  You may have noticed I fussy-cut the image.  That is after messing the top area with some red ink ... and then black.  Thankfully I enjoy fussy-cutting. :)  In the end I think this turned out even better with the background stenciled with Sparkle Texture Paste falling snow.  It's super sparkly!! :)

Tore two snowhills from white card stock, sponged the edges with soft blue ink, and placed at the bottom.  Stamped the sentiment in red, masked it and then added the glitter paste over top using a palette knife.  Once dry, I simply adhered the image to the card front.

Here's a close-up ...
I hope you'll join in the fun.  Check out the challenge blog to see the sweet Santa cards from our Designers and Guest Designer Pam, (Expressions with Heart).  Then come play along.  We'd love to see you in the gallery.

Playing along with 4 Crafty Chicks Challenge #427 - Christmas.  My friend Nance is on the DT and when I saw her card, I had to play along!

Stamps:  Santa and Rudolph (Wild Rose Studio); Christmas Sentiments (Gina Marie Designs)

The sparkly snow tumbling onto Santa and Rudolph is fabulous, Loll ... and your colouring is brilliant ... such a sweet card! Apologies I've not been around much ... three colds on the trot have played havoc with my visits and commenting ... now, at last, I'm back! Hugs, Anita :)

The Santa and the reindeer images are adorable, but your Zig coloring makes them look even more ADORABLE, Loll! I would have never thought of using purple in this color palette, but it does work fantastic! Love the pretty sparkly falling snow background and the sponged snow hills. Your fussy-cutting is amazing - look at the fringe of the scarf!! :-)

So cute this Santa and reindeer Loll, with a lovely snowy background - must remember torn paper instead of die cutting snow edges.. I think fussy cutting is an art, and quite handy to eliminate whoopses. Adorable card

What a fabulous little card, those die cut images look super upon that embossed snowy background.
Creative wishes Tracey.

Absolutely adorable image watercolored beautifully. I kind of like it better fussy cut. I know die cutting is the thing to do, but I don't always enjoy the white border. This looks fabulous. It's so sparkly, too! :)
