CAS Mix Up July Challenge

Hi everyone.  Welcome to the CAS Mix Up July Challenge.  This month Bonnie (Stamping with Klass) is host and she has us removing ink ...

I started by creating an alcohol ink panel on Yupo Paper with very vibrant colours of alcohol inks (purple and orange).  I then cut my panel in half (saving the other half for a future project).  I layered two pieces of folded paper towel to create a "stamp pad", squirted blending solution onto the towel and then inked up my floral stamp.  I stamped onto the AI panel, pressing hard and then removed quite quickly.  I love the ghosted image it leaves behind by removing the ink from the stamp.  I added a white embossed black banner at the bottom and framed the whole panel with a thick white frame.

Here's the close-up ... (there's a little bit of reflection from the overhead lights on the shiny Yupo panel).
We are so happy to have Michelle (Seashell Creations) are our Guest Designer this month at CAS Mix Up.  Please check out the challenge blog to see the beautiful CAS Alcohol Ink Lift cards from Michelle and our amazing Designers.

We hope you'll play along!

Gorgeous shiny vibrant Alcohol Ink colors on Yupo for your background, Loll. I love how you lifted the alcohol ink using your technique with paper towel and blending solution to stamp onto your flower stamp and then stamp your flowers, which lifted the color. So pretty. Wonderful sentiment and framing that made the alcohol ink background the star:-) I can't wait to try your technique, my friend. Hugs...Nancy

Who would have guessed that the blending solution did such a fantastic job of this. I had purchased the alcohol lift ink but haven't used it yet. Love the vibrant colors you chose for that background. Your white embossed sentiment on black is so perfect on this too.

Wonderful vibrant background, never thought to use the blending ink to lift. I've tried the lift ink but was a tad disappointed, maybe as I used Copic refills for the background! :)

The ink colors are gorgeous, Loll, and the makeshift ink pad worked well. I bought one of the ink lifting pads and wasn't happy with it. I think I'll try your method.
