CAS Stencil August Challenge

Hi everyone.  It's the start of a new challenge for August at CAS Stencil.  This month, the host is Robyn (Waterlily Cards by Robyn).  She wants us to use sprays with our stencils.

I started by using sprays I made from Liquid Watercolour Concentrate (yellow, orange, magenta).  I sprayed onto a dotty stencil, flipped it over and pressed the wet ink into a piece of mixed media paper (stencil monoprint).  I blotted with paper towel to remove any excess ink, which keeps the stencil image white.

I thought this created a very summery card, so added a die-cut bicycle and simple sentiment to finish.

Close-up ...
This month we have two very talented Guest Designers joining us;  Hilary (fiddling about) and Amy (Miss_Lomax_Art)   I know you'll be inspired by their amazing cards, and those from our very talented Designers.

Please check out the challenge blog to see all the launch cards for the challenge.  And then come play along!

I'm entering this card into the CAS on Friday Challenge #162 - use a stencil.

A stunning summery card Loll - great use of the 'negative' of the stencil, and the sweet bicycle is fabulous left white.
Jessie looks as though she is saying "As you won't let me into your bed, I'll just have to stay in the sun for some warmth" :)
Blessings

Your card definitely says SUMMER Loll and I'm loving everything about it! The colors are so bright and pretty and your stencil made a perfect background! And of course the bicycle and sentiment just add to the Summer fun of this card! And Jessie looks absolutely ADORABLE! She reminds me a bit of our Cockapoo Brinkley...any dogs with Cocker in them just have the sweetest faces! :0)

Oh boy, this will be a challenge as I've never used sprays. Of course, I have them, so I have to go watch the videos. This is beautiful with the soft summer colors and fun bike. Jessie looks so pleased to be just hanging out.

The cycle goes beautifully with the dotty stencil Loll, and the pastel shades together with the sentiment certainly say Summertime. Jessie seems to be enjoying the Summer sun too. x

Such a beautiful and joyful card, Loll! A great selection of colors, and a white bike is ideally an element. Very visible, but not intrusive. Great design.

Such a sweet and summery card, Loll, and your new family member is simply adorable. I was telling my husband the other day that it's hard to believe that our Bernie is almost 6 by now. It seems only yesterday that we found him dumped into our garden when he was no more than 4 weeks old or so. I never wanted a dog (I'm more of a cat person) but now I cannot imagine not having him around.
