Ink Blending with Warm Colours

Hi everyone.  Playing along with Gina K's videos again.  This time it is ink blending in warm colours with silhouettes.  I have done this before, but it's always nice to play along, especially when I get to use my favourite colours (pink and orange!).

I had a die-cut stitched square of white card stock in my stash from an earlier project.  I ink blended Picked Raspberry, Abandoned coral, Mustard seed on a bit of a slant.  I then inlayed the square into my card front and stamped a leafy sprig and sentiment in black.  Easy, peasy card that has a lot of impact from a small square of colour.

Close-up ...
I'm entering the above card into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge - Anything Goes with optional Spots and/or Stripes.  As you can see, no option used this time. :)
Here's a second card with ink blending of warm colours --- this time Picked Raspberry, Ripe Persimmon, Spiced Marmalade.
Made the second card with a slight difference.  This time I added a Faux Mother-of-Pearl finish to my white card stock before ink blending.  Once I was finish adding ink, I wiped away any excess from the resist of pearl acrylic paint before making my card.  Used this as a background for a large die-cut flower-filled heart.  Popped up the heart for more dimension and also popped up the white heat embossed black sentiment banner.

The close-up shows more detail of the faux mother-of-pearl finish ...

Your small square sure does have tons of impact on your first fabulous card Loll x. The addition of the Mother-Of-Pearl technique on your second beautiful card looks wonderful x. The pop of black on both of the cards look perfect x.

Two Gorgeous ink blended backgrounds for your cards, Lolly. Love the warm colors for both backgrounds and your choice of sentiments. Your silhouette stamped image on your inlaid square was the perfect final touch for your 1st card.

LOVED the die cut floral heart over your faux mother of pearl ink blended background and heat embossed sentiment for your CAS design on your 2nd card. Now I want to make a faux mother of pearl background...you Always inspire my my friend. TFS the link to the Gina K video for ink blending too.

Stay safe and Very Creative, my dear friend. Love and Hugs...Nancy

Two fab cards, love the colours you've used Loll. They remind me of sunsets and are a great contrast to first the black silhouette and then the die cut overlay.
Stay safe and well. :)

Both are absolutely BEAUTIFUL Loll and I'm so glad you're having fun watching Gina's videos too! So easy to get in a rut sometimes and her videos always either teach me something new or remind me of techniques I've forgotten about! Your 1st card is SO dramatic and just STUNNING...and all from a small square of blended color! And your 2nd card is just as amazing and I'm loving the pearl effect and blending together! Lovely, lovely cards my friend! Hugs. :0)

Both cards are absolutely gorgeous, Loll! I love the warm and happy color combo too. Stamping the silhouette off the square panel is a really nice touch!
And you captured the beautiful the faux Mother-of-Pearl finish in the close-up so well. I love the unique and special effect peeking through the die-cut aperture!

What a treat -- not one, but two gorgeous cards in these warm summer sunset colors that I just love! I like the way you designed the first card with the silhouette stamped in and out of the inlaid square. Super cute, fun die on the second card, too. Neat effect with the background on that.

Beautiful use of what I think of as "Loll colours" on both cards! Love the way you inset the cut square of colour and then stamped so that the black silhouette overlaps it a bit.

Such a smart card. And beautiful! I like that part of the branch is outside the colorful window. The second card is equally beautiful, although so different. Adding the faux mother-of-pearl is a great idea to gain more shine.
