CAS Mix Up October Challenge

Hi everyone. Today is the start of the CAS Mix Up October Challenge.  Viv (Viv's Visuals) is our host and she wants us to do "Tone on Tone" stenciling.  Awesome!  And we are thrilled to have Pat (Colourful Card Creations) as our Guest Designer this month.  Welcome Pat!

Started out with a smooshed background I just made with leftover ink from another project.  Distress ink colours Worn Lipstick, Mustard Seed, Aged Mahogany (AM is main colour).

Placed my Peeking Dahlias stencil (ARTplorations) over top, masking the second dahlia that is on the stencil.  Sponged over the one dahlia using more Aged Mahogany ink.  Stamped sentiment using Aged Mahogany to tie it all together.  I love this colour!

What a gorgeous card Loll using this beautiful large dahlia stencil and I love your background with that shaft of yellow light along with that wonderful smooshing, and the coordinating colour for the stencilling. A great sentiment too. Thank you for asking me to be GD this time and I have thoroughly enjoyed the challenge set by Viv as the tone on tone technique is something I don't often do, and so good to see it used in so many wonderful ways by you, Bonnie and the rest of the team. x

This is so vibrant Loll! That color has been my favorite for a long time to darken the reds which I find hard to shade. I love the way your colors blend so perfectly! I'd have never guessed it blended so well with worn lipstick. I love that background too- that hint of yellow in it. Gorgeous card!

Gorgeous card, my friend! That bit of yellow really brings out the richness of the AM. So pretty. It looks like your sentiment is literally floating above your card, too. You always create the prettiest cards. I hope to play along, but you'll have to ask Darnell about my attempts at techniques...not so hot, lol! Stay safe sweet friend. xo Bev

The smooshing in itself is spectacular. Love the variation of ink blending on that stencilled bloom too. The splatters add a delicate touch. What a beautiful panel for this friendship card. Perfect right now.
