Rose Teacup

Hi everyone.  First, wanted to say that I'm happy to be back in my studio after being away for a week.  First Jessie was not well for about three days, then I felt off for the past four days after receiving my second vaccination.  Thankfully I had some posts scheduled ahead.  Happy to be creating again. :)

I decided to ink up one of my latest purchases to create this very CAS, whimsical card.  I am currently making cards to donate to a program through the Lions Club, sending cards to seniors.  I'm sure some senior will be happy to get this pretty teacup filled with roses (Rose Teacup - Stampendous). :)  I bought a series of three stamp sets from Stampendous, so you'll be seeing more similar cards.

Heat emboss in Princess Gold embossing powder (yellow gold - love it!) and then watercoloured with distress inks.  Fussy cut the roses and popped them up on top of the tea cup.  Added a light gray grounding for the cup with masking tape and my soft blending brush.

Adding this to The Flower Challenge #57 Challenge - CAS.  I do love making CAS cards. :)

Thanks for coming by for a visit!

Speaking AS a senior, Loll, I am quite sure some other senior is going to love it as much as I do! Maybe they'll even remember the teapot song?

Glad to hear you and Jessie are both feeling better!! Your card is so bright and cheerful and will definitely do the trick of making someone's day brighter! I send a good portion of my cards to a program called "Bring Smiles to Seniors, Inc." and have always loved that I still get the joy of creating and someone else gets the joy of receiving! Lovely, lovely card Loll...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)

Such a pretty cup full of flowers Loll and love the dimension with them hanging over the edge of cup and perfectly grounded with the brushed grey ink. Glad you are feeling better now after your second vaccination but good to get it done. Luckily I only had a very mild reaction after my second. I hope Jessie is better now too. x

I'm glad to hear you're feeling better and you're back crafting. I hate it when our puppies get sick because they can't tell us how they feel:(
Your card is so beautiful! I love the colours and the gold embossing. Btw you should see the cards on my blog today:)

I hope you and Jessie are much better now. I'm so glad you've had your second shot now although it was not a great reaction. I like this clean, water colored card with pretty colors. Flowers always to bring joy so the sentiment is perfect!

Beautifully done. I'm in awe of your willingness to fussy cut. What's striking about this card is the gorgeous colors you chose and how perfectly you paint.

Loll, I'm so glad both you and Jessie are feeling a little better. I'm getting my second vaccine on Monday and I'm hoping I don't get too bad a reaction.
What a wonderful card and a great thought to give some to the Lions club, this card would certainly brighten up a seniors day ♥

I'm glad you and Jessie are feeling better now, Loll. The second shot got me a little down for one day, but after that I was fine. We all react differently. What a pretty stamp today! I love Stampendous and could buy everything they make along this line. At one time I had planned on it, but got sidetracked. I do have one of theirs (NBUS) on my table as we speak. You colored it so beautifully. Love the delicate green of the cup. BTW, I did get some Princess Gold, thanks to you. It will be used on my NBUS Stampendous, in fact! Good to see you today.
