Kitten in Cup

Hi everyone.  This is a pre-scheduled post that I did at the end of February.  I wasn't sure if I'd be up for making cards after surgery, and I wanted to be able to play along in the Rudolph Days March challenge ... I like to play along each month and have done so for several years. :)

I started with an adorable kitten die that I received from the wonderful Maureen, keeper of the Rudolph Days challenge.  Thanks again Maureen!

I die cut the kitten in the cup in several colours of card stock (white, red, gray, patterned paper - ho ho ho christmas from Polkadoodles) and then pieced it together, adding sponged shading along the edges of the plain coloured pieces.

I smiled the whole time I was making this card! :)

Close-up ...
As I mentioned above, I'm sending this over to the Rudolph Days March challenge. :)

As well, this is the first time using this sweet die, so I'm sending it over to NBUS Challenge #48 - thanks Dolly!

Thanks for stopping by!

What a cute kitten sat in the cup and love that you paper pieced it with the same paper as you used in the background which is such fun Loll. I hope that you are progressing well after your surgery and every day you feel a little better and a little stronger and that in a few weeks we will see you back here. x

Great card, wishing you all the best and a speedy recovery from your surgery. hubby had triple bypass in 2019, sure knocked the stuffing out of him! One day at a time!

What fun to see you pop up, Lolly, even if it is a scheduled post! Every day will get better and before you know it, you will be back in your craft room. In the meantime, thank you for making us smile, too, with your adorable kitten in a cup! I can't remember the last time I did paper-piecing, but I love it. And I love how you sponged the pieces for definition. Thank you for inspiring everyone at NBUS! Hugs, Dolly
