Dazzling Daffodils

Hi everyone.  I recently bought a few Penny Black stamps and this is one of them (Dazzling Daffodils).

I started by smooshing a piece of Bristol card stock (water friendly) using Squeezed Lemonade and Abandoned Coral re-inkers.  Let it dry over night and then stamped my image with Ranger Archival ink (Watering Can - dark gray).  I watercoloured using Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral, and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks which I pressed onto my palette.  I finished by stamping the sentiment (Family Sentiments - Penny Black) in more of the Watering Can Ink.

I'm sending this card to Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
And since this is a new-to-me stamp, I'm sending this card over to NBUS Challenge #51 (never-before-used-schtuff).  This is my second entry this month.
Thanks for stopping by!

the smooshing makes such a pretty background and the soft colours make it easier to colour. The daffodils are beautiful - the official flower of Wales :)

They are aptly named as Dazzling Daffodils. I love them with the smooshed background. They are somehow softened by it, almost as though they're under glass. This is so pretty, Loll! I'm glad you shared it in our Double D flower challenge!

Loll, such beautifully watercolored daffodils. I should try the smooshed technique more often. Love this background.

You do such a fantastic job with watercolor, a skill I have not yet mastered at all. What a beautiful daffodil, Loll and love the matching background. Gotta love that smooshing technique for those of us who just can't watercolor.
