Penny Black - All-in-One Octagon

Hi everyone.  Today I've used the All-in-One Octagon (51-816) die with embossing from the newest release at Penny Black.  This is similar to the All-in-One Oval die.  I love the versatility.  You can also use the octagon frame separately (see this card), and you can use the card front embossed frame with octagon aperture separately too.  Or you can use it with both, as with the above card.

I used the second image from the beautiful Captivate (31-050) stamp set (also from the new release).  I stamped the image in black ink and clear heat embossed before watercolouring with my Zigs.  I loved watercolouring this image, combining orange and pink to create two-toned flowers. :)

I fussy-cut the bottom of the image so that the leaves and lower bloom go over the edge of the octagon frame.  I finished with a simple sentiment (Super Day), stamped in black and heat embossed with clear.

I'm giving this card to my Mom for Mother's Day, which is just a few weeks away in Canada. :)

Close-up ...

I'm sending this to Triple B April Challenge.

Your flowers are so pretty in the pink & orange, and I love how you cut the edge of the bottom flower and leaf so it hangs over the frame...soooo pretty!! Lovely, lovely card my friend and your mom will love it!! Hugs. :0)

Loll, your mama is going to love this - and so do I! Such bright and cheerful blooms in your gorgeous octagonal 'window' frame and the debossed portion is exquisite, too!
Please send along happy Mother's Day wishes from me to your mum!

What a great idea to have the frame and the embossed bottom half too, and remember your last card with just the frame and the other image, beautiful too, and the flowers are gorgeous in pink and orange and with the black embossed line work really makes them pop..a lovely black embossed sentiment too. I'm sure your Mom will love it! x

Very pretty, Loll, and those new dies are definitely customizable! I went to buy the die a couple of days ago and they were already gone -- boohoo! I love your sweet octagon window with the flowers flowing out

WOW - this is stunning Loll - love the wee flowers spilling over the edge, but that die and embossing combo really makes the card a winner!

Ohhh, this is so beautiful! You know I'm a PB fan as well as a Loll fan. Every bit of this is so lovely. Your watercoloring is divine! It's nice how the frame die works. Just a touch of texture to add interest. Your Mom will be enchanted! I stamped this set yesterday for coloring soonish, but I'm finishing up a few loose ends first. Always something. Hope you're doing okay with the move.

Your flowers create a beautiful colorful bouquet. It's a great idea to add a flower and leaves to the window stamped inside for an extra dimension.
