Festive Blossoms

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing a CAS Christmas card using a new-to-me stamp, Festive Blossoms (Penny Black).  I used only a small portion of the image, first stamping in Brushed Corduroy distress ink and then watercolouring overtop with SU! markers.  I am definitely out of practise watercolouring. :)

Close-up ...
To finish the card, I cut my panel to size, added a few highlight strokes with my white acrylic pen and stamped the sentiment (Christmas Sentiments - Penny Black) in Forest Moss distress ink.

Sending this card to a few challenges:
1) NBUS #74 - first time using the Festive Blossom image
2) IDEAS Challenge week 4 - Anything Goes
3) Merry Little Christmas Challenge # 62 - Anything Christmas goes

Thanks for stopping by!

Stamps:  Festive Blossoms & Christmas Sentiments (both Penny Black)
Paper:   White card stock (Neenah 110 lb.); Old Olive card stock (SU!)
Ink:   Brushed Corduroy distress ink (Tim Holtz); Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie Markers (SU!)
Accessories:   Paint brushes, White Acrylic Pen (Posca)

This is a beautiful poinsettia Loll, and I love the more orangy shade of the berries which gives some contrast, and the green is such a lovely rich colour and shows it off perfectly. x

You might think you're out of practice but you did a great job of watercolouring the image! Love the shade of green of the leaves and the card base, and also the yellow berries - a nice change from typical red berries.

Come on, Loll! Your no-line water coloring is just fantastic! But if you feel the need to 'practice' I'd come back gladly!
Such a gorgeous Christmas card!

Out of practice? No way! OMGosh, this looks fantastic! At first I thought it might be a watercolored stencil or maybe a brushstroke stamp. That's how thoroughly your lines disappeared. And I have to say, it looks extra amazing surrounded by all that green. It's such a beautiful and festive card!

I agree with everyone, you aren't out of practice as this is colored beautifully. Love that pretty poinsettia in the rich red, and the leaves and berries are perfect too. TFS

Your watercoloring looks marvelous to me, Loll, and the bright red blossom with the green leaves that match the card base are very festive.

I love the loose watercolor look of your design, Lolly! The colors are so rich and deep and I love the olive card base you used! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS and for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar to motivate others!📌 Hugs, Dolly
