Orange Roses

Hi everyone.  Today's card is the second image from the stamp set, Enchantingly (Penny Black).  Here's a link to the first image I used.

I stamped the flowers in Toffee Crunch ink and then watercoloured with Distress Inks.  I used a circle stencil to add dots to the background using a light green.  The sentiment (Super Day - Penny Black) is stamped in more Toffee Crunch to finish the card.

Close-up ...

Imspired to make this card by the following challenges:
1) The Flower Challenge #102 - Add Spots or Stripes

Your roses look fab Loll, such a summery colour choice and subtle stencilling works so well as a background. Jessie looks to be flat out, a pose I often see with Max, but rattle a packet or open the fridge door and he's there in a flash! :)

Your orange roses are stunning, Loll! That little bit of stenciling was a wonderful finishing touch. This is a marvelous way to send happy birthday wishes! You should link this up over at Just Us Girls for stencil week ;)

I have roses in my front garden that are that colour - you captured them perfectly! It's one of the few rose bushes I've managed to keep alive for many years (even thought I consider myself a good gardener, I've never had my mother's skill with roses!). Your shading is fabulous and I love the subtle bit of stencilling in the background.

Orange roses are my favorite, Loll!! Seldom seen, but I always buy them when I do!
Yours are so superbly water-colored with those distress inks! The dots are just what we were looking for at The Flower Challenge - thanks for joining us again, my friend!
