Hi everyone. I have another CAS card for you today. :) I started with a small mixed media piece in my stash. I've had this for AGES, so decided to start my design with it.
The background is made by heat embossing a stamped grid image (Grid Background SSS - retired) in white. I then smooshed a few colours of Distress inks to creat the design above. It was so long ago, I don't remember the colours but I would guess it's Picked Raspberry & Mustard Seed inks.
I die-cut a simple flower (Sketch Daisy - Memory Box - retired) from gold mirror paper. I love the shine, but it's hard to photograph. I finished by stamping a sentiment and heat embossing in gold to match the flower.
Close-up ...
Sending this card to the following challenges:

Loll, I think you've captured the gold foil perfectly here! Such a bright and pretty panel to have for a jumping off point!

Beautiful!
A wonderful project, my dear Loll. The colors used are representative of you, like a trademark :-) The white mesh divides the background nicely, and the flower shines wonderfully. I think that by presenting two photos you perfectly showed the shine of the gold cardboard. All doubts are dispelled.
hugs,

I agree it's hard to photograph the mirror card. But I can imagine how lovely and shiny it is! Love the background with that grid stamp. I might have to stamp a couple off when I come out!
The colors mixed beautifully on that panel, Loll, and what a find in your stash. The gold flower is a lovely accent piece to it.
CAS but very pretty. Love how you gold foiled the grid on your mixed media piece. The gold flower looks perfect on it, along with the gold sentiment. Thanks for sharing with us at Seize the Birthday.
My heat embossed sentiments never come out this crisp, thank goodness foiling was invented. LOL. Such a pretty panel and card, Loll. Thanks for playing at Seize the Birthday.
This mixed media piece is a fantastic place to plant your daisy, Lolly! Love the background and the metallic gold makes this very elegant!
You have such a skill with smooching sunset colors together, Lolly! I always think these colorful backgrounds are stunning on their own, but you have given me a whole new perspective with the addition of the grid lines! It adds a ton of interest and then adding the gold schparkly flower and sediment ties it all together! Thank you for using this week's I.D.E.A.S. Calendar and linking in the gallery to motivate others! Thank you for your uplifting comment, too!📌❤️Love, Dolly
Wow! So bright and pretty Loll, and I love the look of the smooshing over the gold embossed grid lines, and then the gold die cut leafy branch looks wonderful over the top, and finished with the coordinating gold embossed birthday sentiment too. x
Beautiful! Your golden shine is perfect for the smooshed background, and the subtle grid image is wonderful
