Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

Hi everyone.  Today I'm sharing a Pink Christmas card. :)  As many of you know, pink is my favourite colour, so I just had to play along at Christmas Kickstart. :)  I'm a bit late to the party ... just haven't found my mojo yet after taking a long break from card making.  Today's card is a CASE of one I saw on-line.  Unfortunately, I couldn't figure out who made it as the watermark was missing.  I LOVED the design and copied it exactly, with one exception of switching out the original blue sky for pink. :)  Sometimes when I have trouble being creative, it helps to CASE a card to get me back on track.

One other thing, is it me ?? ... or have you noticed over the past few years, that many of the new thin die sets are full of teeny, tiny pieces.  This was a challenge to make because of the size of ... the windows, the door, the roof, the lamp posts.  But it all came together and I'm so happy with how it turned out.  There's also lots of dies within the set, so you can choose what to use in your winter scene (or use them all!). :)  I placed the finished snow globe onto a card base dry embossed with beautiful snowflakes.

Close-up ...
As mentioned above, I'm sending this card to the Christmas Kickstart Challenge #106.  Thanks to Jo and her wonderful Guest elf Chris, for this fun challenge!  And because this is the first time using this sweet snowglobe die set, I'm sending this card to NBUS Challenge #82.

Edited to Add:  I meant to add another challenge - If You Give a Crafter a Cookie Challenge #212 - Cabin in Winter.  Mine is not a cabin, but a house ... hope that's OK.

Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful! I would never have thought of a total pink sky but it works magic! Congrats on using your set and thanks too, for the warning on small pieces -- I have yet to use mine and am now fully forewarned - lol.

The pink background is so pretty Loll, and the houses, lamp posts and sleigh are perfect inside it, and a wonderful embossed snowflake EF giving a beautiful looking background. x

WOW!!!

Hi Loll! Your card is beautiful and I'm loving the pink on this pretty scene. I'm happy that you're jumping back into stamping! The dies are getting harder to work with and tinier, I agree. But the results on this card are so amazing!

Your snow globe scene is delightful, Loll, especially with a pink sky. I agree there are a lot of tiny pieces but the realistic look makes it worth while IMHO.

You know I love pink too Loll, and your pink sky in this delightful snow globe scene is wonderful!! I too am finding that the dies seem to be getting smaller and smaller, but then I wonder if it's just my arthritic hands/fingers that make them seem smaller?! Guess we just have to soldier on!! Sweet, sweet card my friend...LOVE it!! Hugs. :0)

Love the use of the snow globe to make a pink Christmas card! That's a really nice embossing folder you used on the card base.

How very beautiful, I love the pink in the globe and the "tiny" details too. I agree about the casing, it helps a lot. x

This is beautiful, Loll. I love how you played our theme with a beautiful pink sky. And I totally hear you about the tiny die-cut pieces. Well done for juggling all the tiny doors and windows and those sweet lampposts too. So happy to have you play along at The Christmas Kickstart challenge with Chris and me, Jo x

You did a fantastic job of putting these teeny-tiny pieces together for you sweet snowglobe, Lolly! It does seem that there are more tiny pieces in the dies and I love the dimension and texture they add, but my patience is sorely tested!

I am chuckling, Lolly! Are we on the same wave length or what? There I was yesterday, talking to you about teeny tiny dies and you had just made this! Nevertheless, you did a brilliant job with all the pieces to make this a yearly decoration for the lucky recipient! I love the sky in pink and the gorgeous embossed background! Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Love, Dolly

Gosh, this is so pretty, Loll! Our winter sunsets are oftentimes pink, but I don't get to see such a charming scene when I look across the street. Loving that filigree embossing folder, too. The tiny pieces are off putting for sure. I definitely have my limits when it comes to putting them together, but just look how beautifully you accomplished this. Wonderful!

That must have been so fiddly to make - well done for not getting glue everywhere! Lovely card. I also find Case-ing a good way to deal with crafter's block.
