Pretty Bird

Hi everyone.  Today's CAS (clean and simple) card is looking forward to Spring. :)  I love this new-to-me die, Pretty Bird Etched Die set (Spellbinders), surrounded with leafy greenery.  The background is dry embossed using the Vine Canopy embossing folder (Simon Says Stamp).  The bird on a swing is popped up on top, coloured with distress inks and markers.  I added some extra leafy vines in bright green (Ascending die - Penny Black).  The background is sponged in more green ink and then main image was popped up over the background.

Hello Loll.
I see you're back to your craft room for good. I'm so happy because I love admiring your cards.
I love the refreshing colors on this card. You colored this sweet parrot beautifully, and the background perfectly highlights the blue of the bird. I admire those beautiful green branches. Did you ink them after cutting them out of paper? I have a feeling you managed to replicate those green branches in the background.
A beautiful card to send greetings to a friend.
xx

I am so pleased that I have managed to make it back online today as I would have hated to miss this one. Your little bird is so cute and it definitely has a spring feel to it. It can't come quick enough for me xx
