Please check out the details for April's Technique (Split Card Designs) and link to videos on the blog, along with more card samples from Christine & Susan.
The technique used for this set of cards is to use a oversized / large image. I stamped Fragrant Florals (Altenew) in black ink and heat embossed with clear. The matching stencils were used to sponge the image with distress inks. Once the colouring was done, the matching die was used to cut out the image. I used a white Posca pen to add a bit of detailing and then cut the image into two pieces.
I mounted each piece onto an A2 white card base and finished off by stamping sentiments in more black ink. These made lovely cards with only having to colour one image. It is common sense, but I hadn't thought about doing this with my larger stamps before. :) I'm really happy how these cards turned out!
If you don't have oversized stamps, a large stamp will make two cards with smaller focal panels ... see pink floral cards below. :)

This set of cards is stamped with Statement Flowers (Altenew). I LOVE the size of these large, bold blooms. I stamped onto mixed media paper, heat embossing in Liquid Platinum embossing powder. The image was then watercoloured using distress inks before fussy-cutting. The large image was split into two smaller ones and mounted on top of a panel / inside a frame. It made two lovely CAS cards. :)

The other technique I'm sharing from this month's Group of Cardmakers is from Jennifer McGuire. It's another great way to stamp two of the same image, colouring one and leaving the other with just the heat embossed outline, splitting the two in the same place and swapping out. You get two unique and beautiful cards with just a little extra heat embossing and only having to colour one of them. This helps build your stash of cards quicker ... especially if you use a CAS design for your cards.
Here is the first card that used half of the images from each stamping ...

And, here is the second card that uses the other pieces ...

I love a technique that gives more cards from similar effort. these are all beautiful, Loll.
Gorgeous cards with these different interpretations of the technique Loll, and they are all extremely pretty and I love your colour choices. The first two use these big and bold and brightly coloured flowers, and then the second pair have been beautifully framed, and the split design of the last pair of seasonal cards look great placed on the dark red card and with the metallic strip across the join. I love them all. x
Beautiful cards. Great technique too. Thanks for sharing at JUGS
Wow Loll! What a great group of cards using this technique. I love each one and your coloring on each one. Thanks for sharing. Will check this out.
I love soft stenciling. The more intense colors in the center of the flowers and the softer ones on the outside of the petals look stunning. These cards have such warmth and softness. Wonderful, energetic, and very spring-like cards, my dear Loll. This technique allows you to use large stamp sets and quickly create two beautiful cards. Thank you for sharing them with us.
The second set of cards was quite a surprise. How beautifully you incorporated the flowers into these frames. Wonderful inspiration.
I can't believe it! Another set? You truly know how to surprise with your creativity, my dear Loll.
xx
they are all so pretty Loll, although I think the poinsettia is my favourite 🤩
My goodness you should be happy as each one of these cards is just gorgeous! Your coloring is just incredible! I think the Christmas card designs were so smart too. I am so happy I came by to see these and so happy you joined us at Seize the Birthday. Take care!
All of these are gorgeous times two, Lolly! Getting two out of each design is the way to go! I LOVE each of them, my friend!
I love this idea because stamp designs have got bigger, especially at Altenew. Your cards are all beautiful and unique:)
These are all incredibly pretty, Loll! So happy to spot one in our JUGs gallery. Thanks for playing again!
Gorgeous examples of this technique, Loll - especially love the big flower clusters on card pair one & two!!
Your posts are like getting a card class for free, Lolly! Each of these is stunning! You do magic coloring with distress inks! Thank you for all these examples and ideas and for supporting NBUS and I.D.E.A.S.! Love, Dolly
I am thrilled with your post and all of your card ideas. From the bright colored flowers to the pink one and the Christmas cards too. I will come back here tomorrow to see if I can do a card like this too. We at Seize the Birthday Challenge love to see your here.

They are all fabulous, Loll. Three great different ways of splitting images. I never had time to try the one where part of it is just embossed with no colouring but will have to try it one day.
More beautiful florals Loll, a delight to take in the beauty of each one. And inspiration to get out a very old A&C stamp used very few times - have to use a cake tin lid as a block as it's so large.
Lovely to see you at We Love Stamping again, thanks so much.

Amazing, such beautiful cards with a fabulous technique and colouring. Definitely one to remember. Great designs too. x
Loll... beautiful use of a stencil. Love getting two for one, especially when both cards are fabulous. The details with white paint are perfect. Just lovely! Thanks for sharing this card (and all your other cards) with Just Us Girls.
All so pretty and as always very inspirational. Thanks for taking part at Rudolph Days challenge. Lynn GDT x
Wonderful big images, beautifully colored and displayed in beautiful and unique ways. These cards are all stunning in technique!
What a great collection of cards, Loll. Getting a twofer is always satisfying but getting six cards from the same technique is awesome! Your stencilling colour techniqe is beautiful with the added penwork, and the framing on the second set of cards, really makes them pop. I like the clever use of the heat embossing to cover the join on the final set too!
Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs,
Carol x
What an inspiring post full of pretty cards and helpful info. WOW! I love them all! The Fragrant Floral pair is a favorite, you've used it beautifully. Makes me want to get mine out of hiding, lol!
All 6 of these cards are absolutely BEAUTIFUL Loll!! I can't even pick favorites as they all are simply STUNNING!! Beautifully done my friend!! Hugs. :0)
Oh, and Loll, always great to see your beautiful cards in the Die Cut Diva gallery!!
Oh, my! These are all gorgeous cards and look like so much, but I know the split technique helps get the job done more quickly. Your colors are absolutely beautiful. I was surprised to read the first is stenciled as it looks like watercolor. They're all just amazing!
